What is the main idea you were trying to express in your project? What were your intentions? I was trying to get the point of how facebook is so hugely known in the world today. There is rarely anyone left without a facebook account (not including young children). What methods did you use to develop your ideas? For example, did you brainstorm, create a concept map, research, improvise, try different materials or techniques, etc?
I just thought about what people today are most into and it turned out to be facebook. I researched alot of different pictures i could use and i played around with GIMP and changed my design several times.
Did you take risks by trying something new? Explain.
I never really knew how to use GIMP and still hardly do haha so i tried something new by using it.
What were some of the unexpected problems that you had to solve while you were working?
I was having alot of troubles trying to figure out how stuff worked on GIMP.
What decisions and choices did you make to help solve these problems?
I just told myself to keep trying even if it was getting on my nerves.
What was the most interesting or challenging thing about what you did?
I love editing pictures so it interested me with all the different things i could do on GIMP.
What have you learned from this particular project?
That not all editing sites are easy to use and also that it really is crazy how many people like and use facebook all over the world.
What did you do outside of class to enrich the project?
I browsed my facebook page. :)
If you were to experience this project again what would you change or do differently?
I would choose different pictures to use probabily and do a totally different concept.
Describe a new project/activity that might grow out of the one in which you just participated?
Painting different types of things like murals or logos and who knows maybe even just plain old photo editing different images.
Could you send me the GIMP file for this picture as well? It will end with the extension .xcf
ReplyDeleteYou have a great t-shirt design and it certainly reflects the relevance in today's society of how we are so reliant on our social networking tools. Your use of balance and symmetry in the picture has worked well.
