- What is the main idea you were trying to express in your project? What were your intentions? I was trying to express how a child thinks, mainly a child's imagination.
- How did you use the elements and principles of art throughout your art work? Talk about how you used the elements of design (line, shape, form, space, value, texture, color) in your project to achieve the following (where applicable): balance, emphasis, movement, pattern, rhythm, contrast, unity. I tried to follow a color scheme and also just to plain out be creative and free not really wanting to fallow any certain guide lines, I just wanted to let my mind be free.
- What methods did you use to develop your ideas? For example, did you brainstorm, create a concept map, research, improvise, try different materials or techniques, etc? I just looked at my nephews and little cousins i started to think like a kid and think about what would look fun and different.
- Did you take risks by trying something new? Explain. Yes, I was scared as to how it would turn out but i think it turned out ok considering it got me really frustrated.
- What were some of the unexpected problems that you had to solve while you were working? My balloons continually popping and eventually running out of certain types of balloons causing me to rethink my game plan.
- What decisions and choices did you make to help solve these problems? I looked through all the other balloons for other ones that would work in the places of the ones i needed.
- What was the most interesting or challenging thing about what you did? The most challenging thing I found was getting the balloons to stay in place.
- What have you learned from this particular project? That balloons may be fun but are really hard to work with.
- What did you do outside of class to enrich the project? I thought a lot about how a child might look at things along with looked at a lot of children books and toys for ideas.
- If you were to experience this project again what would you change or do differently? I would try the other option we had rather then doing the chair or else i would build the chair right from scratch using different materials.
- Describe a new project/activity that might grow out of the one in which you just participated? I think sculpting a larger more detailed thing would grow out of this project.
