- What is the main idea you were trying to express in your project? What were your intentions? I just wanted to express that my family willl always go on even though we don't fully see eye to eye on alot of things.
- How did you use the elements and principles of art throughout your art work? Talk about how you used the elements of design (line, shape, form, space, value, texture, color) in your project to achieve the following (where applicable): balance, emphasis, movement, pattern, rhythm, contrast, unity. For the color i tried to pick kind of eye catching colors that constantly changed so the viewer would never be bored, I used alot of space and soe texture is visible like in the trees branches. I had a bit of rhythm going with the way things kept on having a wave motion.
- What methods did you use to develop your ideas? For example, did you brainstorm, create a concept map, research, improvise, try different materials or techniques, etc? I did some research on different symbols and their meanings.
- Did you take risks by trying something new? Explain. Yes, I have never done an aboriginal painting before and so this project all on its own was a risk for me.
- What were some of the unexpected problems that you had to solve while you were working? I had to make the branches on the trees shorter so they would not hit the objects in between the trees.
- What decisions and choices did you make to help solve these problems? I just made the branches smaller.
- What was the most interesting or challenging thing about what you did? The most challenging was the color choices i had to make and the basic design itself.
- What have you learned from this particular project? That aboiginal art is very hard to do because it takes alot of mind and soul blending and focus to make it turn out just right.
- What did you do outside of class to enrich the project? I did research and talked to some artist in my family (not famous ones).
- If you were to experience this project again what would you change or do differently? I would choose an easier concept to do.
- Describe a new project/activity that might grow out of the one in which you just participated? I can not think of one this time, other then maybe a short video or stop-motion on the aboriginal culture.
